Matt, a Long Island, NY native, is a longtime Martial Artist and fight fan, with years of experience in the fight industry. His background includes fighting, competing, owning a Martial Arts school, training with fighters, managing fighters, and founding combat sports site NewYorkFighting.com. Matt is also a Brown belt in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu.

Fight Shape Tony Ricci and Host Matt Culley are joined by UFC Welterweight, Ryan LaFlare.  Ryan shares his viewpoints as a professional fighter and a coach on the topic of cardio. He supplies his personal experiences of how he builds up his cardio and explains his purpose for conditioning because of his wrestling background.  

Tony explains factors to consider when working on conditioning, including body types, fighting style, and genetics.  He explains how the cardiovascular system works, as well as his Top 3 Cardio Recommendations.  Tony provides an insightful look at cardio respiratory conditioning, whether you're in fight camp or looking to learn how to get in better shape.

Ryan LaFlare (13-1), UFC Welterweight, comes to the Everlast studio to talk to Matt & Sergio about UFC 209: Woodley VS Thompson 2.  Matt asks him his opinion on the card's fighters including Rashad Evans, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Demian Maia.  Ryan also talks about his MMA career, training, and his new gym opening up.

Arias Garcia, CFFC's matchmaker, calls in and talks about CFFC 63, which Sergio fought and won at, as well as the next card CFFC 65.  Arias also hints at whom Sergio may be fighting next, and some insight as a matchmaker.

On this show, the guys talk to Sidney Outlaw, who will be fighting Friday at Ring of Combat. Sidney gives the low down on his fight camp and what we can expect to see from him on Friday.  

Next on the line is Liam McGeary (11-1), who is fighting in Ireland at Bellator 173. Liam's fight camp sounds a bit more lax, but the guys uncover something that Outlaw and McGeary have in common!

Jared "Flash" Gordon (11-1) joins TFC to talk about his upcoming fight at CFFC 63 on 2/18.  Jared will be fighting Bill Alego for a featherweight title shot.  Sergio will also be fighting at Saturday and reveals his game plan.  They chatted about "Dana White: Lookin' for a Fight" being at CFFC, the crap talking, fight predictions, and their history.

Rafael "Sapo" Natal comes to the studio right after to talk about UFC 208, his training, his new academy, and much more.  Sapo is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the middleweight division of the UFC. He became pro in 2005, and mostly fought in the Ring of Combat promotion before joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Fight News with Kyle Antonelli covers the latest about GSP's UFC contract & Holly Holm's appeal.

The Fight Cave introduces a new series: "Evolving Athletes" with Fight Shape Tony Ricci.  Tony will cover everything you need to know about fight performance and nutrition.  

In this second episode, @FightShape_Ricci explains the hex bar deadlift.  He explains what muscles it targets, ways to make it harder, what exercises to pair it with, the purpose, the effects, and more!

Tony Ricci is a professor at Long Island University, a former competitive Olympic lifter, Mr. Eastern USA bodybuilding champion, and holds Black Belts in multiple combat disciplines.  He has his MS. in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy and MS. in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport.

Fight News with Kyle Antonelli of NewYorkFighting.com talks about the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight.  He explains how McGregor's contract with the UFC may have a loop hole.  He goes into detail about the Ali Act, and how it would affect the chances of this notorious fight.

Bryan Hamper, Managing Partner of Sucker Punch Entertainment, shares what qualities they look for in up and coming fighters.  He also shares plan for his business, fighters they manage like Max Holloway, Angela Hill, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.  They talk about Connor McGregor, Jose Aldo, and BJ Penn.
